A TOAST IS IN ORDER AS THE BELIZE BREWING COMPANY, EXPANDS ITS FLAGSHIP BRAND WITH THE RELEASE OF BELIKIN LIGHT.
On Tuesday June 27th, Caribbean Culture and Lifestyle was privileged to be a part of the unveiling of a new product to the Belize Brewing Beer collection – Belikin Light – the only new product added to the beer line since 1971, with the exception of seasonal beers. Participants and media houses enjoyed a tour of the brewery followed by a presentation from Jason Badillo, Brand Manager of Crystal Water, and a question and answer session by Nolan Michael, Brew Master.

As Nolan Michael, Brew Master, indicated at a launch of Belkin Light “Belikin is a complete heritage brand, what we tried was to make sure we don’t lose the flavor profile of our Belikin flagship.”
Belikin Light takes the guilt out of enjoying beer with friends. Targeted towards those with an active lifestyle, this new beer is light yet full of flavors with a low calorie count. Belikin Light is the lighter alternative to its older sibling Belikin Beer. Brewed in the classic European style, Belikin Light uses the highest quality ingredients including a blend of German Hops, Canadian Pilsner malt and ultra-purified water from the Maya Mountains.
With development beginning at the start of 2017, the brewing process, like that of others in the product portfolio, has been done with great attention to quality and flavor, plus a profound significance on branding in keeping with Belize’s heritage.
With a few adjustments made in the Belikin recipe, Belikin Light is the first for the company, fitting in the light beer category. Having gone through rigorous taste and sensory trials from the professionals at the Belize Brewing Company, it’s now your turn to be the judge. This new light beer is set to hit the shelves of supermarkets, bars and stores nationwide as of Monday July 3, 2017.
